this afternoon i had a call frm my cousin, who told me we were going to watch a cinderella's story tonight! i almost tried to get out of the teacher's day dinner, but boy am i glad i did not!!

i wore this black collared tee with black pants, and of coz, my adidas shoes. hahaha, if you are thinking, omg, sports shoes?!?! you are WRONG! anyway i wouldn't be able to describe the shoes to u. nurul's parents gave us a lift there. we were supposed to be seated by 1845 hrs. at 1930 hrs the dinner started. the MP gave his speech, and then the food started coming. after the 2nd course, we started playing table games.
1st game, we were shown pictures of teachers' eyes, and we had to guess which pair of eyes belonged to who. our table got that all right! but we lost when it came to guessing the price of furniture. lol.
2nd game, we were given 50 mini marshmallows and uncooked spaghetti. using these 2 things, we had to try and build the tallest structure that could stand on it's own. we came in 2nd! hahaha, but our structure soon collasped. LOL!
at the end of 2 games, our grp had 12 pts, and the highest was 14 pts. we weren't doing too badly.
then it was time for the lucky draw. i won a telephone last yr, and i was wondering if i would win anything this year. the emcee called out "10 spades" THAT WAS ME! wahahha! i went up, matched my half of the card with his, and i picked a number. 33. i got a casio organ. lol, if that's what it's called. hahaha.
then it was time for the 3rd game! each table was given newspapers, a sheet of plain paper, and a bottle of glue. we had to cut letters out to form phrases flashed on the screen. first 3 grps who formed their phrases the fastest got points. 1st phrase "mary had a little lamb" we came in 2nd. 2nd phrase "twinkle twinkle little stars" we came in 2nd again. last phrase "jack and the beanstalk" we were the first!! i was in charge of sticking the letters and forming the words, the rest of the teachers were supposed to look for the letters. i think our table was rahter noisy coz i was shouting for the letters i wanted! hahahah. it was fun!
i left after the last game. we won overall, with 19 pts. the 2nd group had 17 pts. we were good!

took a cab down to bishan at 2120 hrs, praying hard there would be no jam along the CTE. thank goodness there wasn't. i reached bishan at 2130 hrs, met my cousins, and went up. the show was just wonderful! though it was oh so cliche, i still enjoyed it. getting to know each other online, not knowing who each other was, the guy, as usual, is the school's jock, either that or he's the quarterback. the gal's obviously the loser in the school, and all the popular cheerleaders snub her, and the guy's girlfriend is none other than the most popular cheerleader, they break up, he likes the loser, things turn bad, things become good, they live happily ever after. hahaha, what did i say? let's say it together....... cliche!!!! worth watching though. haha
