day 1:
spent the night on the plane. couldn't slp at all!

day 2:
reached osaka in the morning. met up with our tour guide, had a mini bus all to ourselves, 10 of us. headed to osaka castle!

there was a slight drizzle, but we were too happy to be affected by it! we took some free recycled umbrellas from the airport, how cool is that man!

had lunch at a shop outside the castle, but before that, we walked ard and took a look at the stuff in the shop. jerz bought takoyaki not how we call it in sg, takopachi.

lunch we had a bowl of udon, rice, fried crab claw, a pot a soup with stuff inside. i loved this soup the best! i finished it all!

we had green tea icecream after lunch and it sucked! tasted damn artificial!

we went to the hotel, which btw was very small! once jerz and i put our luggage on the floor and opened it up, we had almost no space to walk!

rested a while and headed out for shopping! went to shinsaibashi, some street with lots of shops!

dinner was at a small ramen shop near our hotel. and here, i had the best tasting ramen ever! the meat was melt in your mouth, the soup was SO GOOD i finished it all! and we had a small plate of fried rice each. i wonder how come japs eat so much and yet they are still so small sized. i couldn't even finish my bowl of ramen, let alone my fried rice

day 3:
breakfast at the hotel was gooooood! the hashbrowns were fried to perfection and so bite sized!

headed down to kobe. there, we visited a sake brewery. watched a vid on how they made sake

moved on to kobe harbour, walked along the harbour, took some pictures, then we went shopping

went to those "tikam" machines and "tonged" 2 mario stylus! haha luckily i didn't buy them from yahoo auctions! it's so much cheaper here plus i don't have to pay for postage and wait!
here i bought more makeup stuff, and my cram cream stuff and my spongebox 'lunchbox'. also bought a 2008 organiser

lunch was tonkatsu. this tasted DELICIOUS! i'm a sucker for anything deep fried, hahaha

took a walk to china town after lunch, came across this wall where we could write stuff. jerz did most of the writing, i added in the 'love singapore' part

coz it started drizzling on the way there, we didn't go to chinatown, we ended up shopping at matomachi. another long street full of shops! i bought my other organiser and pencil here.

val, jane and i used to shop at this supermarket in liang court when we were taking our deg!

went into diamaru and ji mm bought me a burberry blue label bag. i was so paiseh coz i told her not to get it for me already. the blue label is only sold in japan, and no where else! hohoho. anyway i was v happy with the bag thanks to my aunt! she said it'll be my christmas present

went back to kobe harbour for more shopping and dinner. i bought a scarf and hat from uniqlo (it's a shop that's like giordano, but their stuff is nicer and WAY cheaper!). then bought the polka dotted umbrella.

day 4:
long drive to Himeji castle. this castle was a very nice and grand looking castle, compared to the rest that we would be seeing later on.

climbed to the top of the castle. we had to remove our shoes! the steps were VERY STEEP, and there were like erm i think 5 or 6 stories to climb. hahaha, it was good exercise!

lunch after. jan and i shared a katsudon and an unagidon for lunch. well we were very hungry so only managed pics of the katsudon coz it came first.

once we were done with lunch, we went to visit some streets. they preserved all the warehouses along this street.

aftrer this, we headed to our hotel in hiroshima. our driver got lost and we were travelling ard in circles! couldn't find the hotel. finally phing took a cab and the bus followed the cab and we FINALLY reached the hotel. the hotel was very nice! lucky for that

dinner was in the hotel.

day 5:
took a ferry over to miyajima island in hiroshima to visit a shirne and see the floating gate.

there were some shops there so we walked ard a bit

a freaking huge rice scoop!

we came across a store which sold fresh oysters. omg they were so fresh and tasted so good!

went to see hiroshima castle. this was a small one, so we only took a pic and left. hahaha

next up, hiroshima peace memorial park.

lunch was at the train station coz we were gonna take the bullet train to fukuoka

it took us only an hour to reach fukuoka. and it being a friday, all restaurants were full for dinner! we walked ard looking for places to eat. in the end, they went to eat ramen, jan and i went to MOS to eat. haha we had such a hard time telling the lady our orders! jan ended up buying a katsu burger, and i had an ebi burger
tasted super!

day 6:
headed to nagasaki, and visited a theme park - huis ten bosch. it's supposedly modelled after the dutch. well, all the houses that were in the theme park really belonged to families! not fake ones.

lunch, we had pizza. saw these children's books (i assume they were for kids coz of the pics) while waiting in the queue

after that, we went shopping. i played with makeup! i went into the shopping centre with a bareface, fine, only with sunblock and bb cream. i came out of the shopping centre with a fully made face! all except eyeliner. i even put on mascara! LOL

here, jan jamie and i had a lot of fun 'tonging' bleach cards from a bleach tikam machine. and mind you, these are good quality plastic cards and are quite big! maybe a bit smaller than A5. i wanted renji but we kept getting grimmjow. we were laughing everytime we saw his face!

dinner, we had sashimi, hamachi cheek, fried chicken, beef steak, and i can't remember what else. as usual, i only managed to take a pic of the first dish.

day 7:
on the way to mt aso, we stopped at suizenji park. this park is known for it's mini mt fuji. the coi in the pond were HUGE! like the biggest i've ever seen. the size of a small bloster!

lunch was at ajisen ramen. another great tasting ramen, but can't beat the one we had on the first night!

went to our hotel for onsen! hahahaha we had to get naked. at first it was weird, but after a while we all got used to it. water was steaming hot! but the outdoor ones were nice, coz the cold winter air on our faces plus the hot steaming water, relaxing combi.
we stayed at aso farm village, and it's well known for it's onsen. the huts are modelled after breasts! LOLLOL

day 8:
think we went to see an active volcano in kagoshima.

coz the waves can get quite strong here, they built these wave breakers

i had chawanmushi and sashimi for lunch. i really love the sashimi here! freaking fresh!

dinner

day 9:
headed to udo shrine. toilet stop along the way, there was a playground there. being the overgrown kid i am, i went to play.

reached the place. but we had to walk like A LOT to reach the shrine which was built in a cave. thru a tunnel, down a lot of stairs. which meant we had to climb a lot of stairs to get back!

lunch, i had katsudon again. but this katsudon was HUGE! the pieces of pork were almost 2 cm thick! i gave 2 huge pieces to the adults, and i still couldn't finish my food

went to devil's washboard. it's some natural formation formed by the waves

and lastly, coz i wasn't very interested in looking at stuff like that anymore, some memorial tower at hewidai park

dinner, we had canco nabe. LOL we couldn't stand the word nabe. hahahha. anyway it's a kind of food that sumos eat. everyting mixed into a huge pot. included different kids of veg, octopus, tofu, taupok, pork, beef, and we ordered chicken balls and fish

day 10:
pics getting less and less as we neared the end of the trip. i was feeling sad already coz i didn't want to come home!
went to beppu to visit the 3 different hot springs

blood pool: reddish brownish due to the mud

dragon pool: squirts out water up to a height of 20m

went to our hotel, and this hotel's onsen wasn't that nice. so we stayed a while only. we had dinner at another jap restuarant. i had my ane ebi sushi, solefish sashimi, chawanmushi, tuna belly sushi. the tuna belly sashimi tasted so good!
the boss of the restaurant kept disturbing jan jamie and i. he would peer thru holes to watch us, stick his hand out from behind the counter to try and get our attention, i even had to shake his hand. LOL

went to the supermarket, saw lots of chopper soft toys and one piece stuff. bought snacks for the guys here

day 11:
back in fukuoka. visited a shrine, but i didn't take any pics of it. coz after a while all the shrines started looking the same.

went shopping at diamond city! bought a nike jacket there!

after diamond city we went to tenjin mall. it's underground. i bought my burberry blue label long wallet to match the bag ji mm gave me. i was a poorer but happy girl!
saw some weird stuff on the way there. what's weird? check it out

and yes, i'm wearing my new nike jacket already. put in on in the store itself! haha

we had dinner next to out hotel. yakatori, huge ebi (raw and damn sweet! better than ame ebi!) grilled fish, grilled octopus, stried fried veg, beef stew, fried chicken, fried chicken wings, salmon sashimi, onigiri, bbq scallop, fried lotus chips, green peas, pregnant fish and fried chicken gizzard.
i was so full after dinner!

day 12:
our free and easy day. so we went shopping at canal city. spent a long time in the anime shop that jamie visited the last time she was here. i spent more than $100 in this shop alone!

finished getting the list of cosmetics that i wanted to buy
mum and i had macs for lunch, while the rest ate at an italian restaurant. we had the ebi burger, which was by the way, nicer than MOS's!
mum bought the GAP dress i was eyeing. it's for her actually, but i'm gonna take it and wear soon!

dinner was the best! it's like a grand finale

the lobster sashimi and ebi were soooo fresh! this is the first time i'm tasting raw lobster! one word: SUPER! mum dare not try all the raw stuff, cept for the raw fish. there were more dishes, but i didn't take pics of all.

a tank of fish, all swimming against the current. jan said it's for them to exercise. hahah

well, that marked the end of our trip. i was so sad to go back to SG

next up, my shopping!

and since i'm at it, i went shopping with zena on sun, after church. bought a pair of trendyzone flats, same as my black ones but in blue. bought them coz the black ones are so comfy and the soles are wearing out soon.

and a nike sports bra going at 30% off! i have the exact same one in light blue and black
